Drafting off the classic “Cali” Nike Dunk SB Low, the Air Pegasus+ 30 "California" was designed for Road Runner Sports' 30th anniversary. Headquartered in Del Mar, California, Road Runner Sports is a running specialty store, and this limited edition Pegasus paid homage to the retailer's Cali roots.

Inspired by the Bear Flag of the California Republic, the Pegasus was colored with the flag’s red, white, and green colors throughout. The brown of the flag’s grizzly bear – “Monarch,” who lived at San Francisco’s Woodwards Gardens before moving to the zoo at Golden Gate Park in the early 1900s – dominated the Hyperfuse paneling, mesh tongue and Engineered Mesh heel of the shoe’s upper. A final Road Runner Sports touch comes in the form of “RRS” branding across the tongue, and a custom sockliner graphic was reminiscent of Nike Running graphics from the past.
