During one of our meetings, Stefan came to me and said, “I really want to do a music shoe.” It was an immediate yes.

After a short conversation, we agreed Milwaukee folk punk band Violent Femmes, who reunited in 2013, was the perfect choice. We met with the band in Austin, Texas to discuss the project. After another immediate yes, we were off and rolling.

The shoe features “Violent” and “Femmes” chain-stitched on the lateral side of each shoe and the title from the group's hit 1994 song “I’m Nothing” — which Stefan sang with the band on a version that released on their album Hotel Last Resort — are printed in Janoski’s handwriting on the tongue. Stefan also created the custom sockliner art featured on the left and right shoes.
